Beschreibung:
The "Methods of AI (Lecture)" continue the "Introduction to AI" from the summer term. Several topics from the "Introduction" will reappear and be deepened in the "Methods" class, including local search, constraint programming, knowledge representation, plannnig, and machine learning. Though it is not mandatory to have taken the "Introduction to AI", is highly recommended. Some background in math and computer science is also desirable.

The lecture will be accompanied by tutorial sessions. The tutorial sessions are intended to clarify the content, to discuss topics in more depth, and offer a room for discussion. The course encompasses weekly exercises and a written exam at the end of the semester.

There is also a seminar (course number 8.3019) based on this lecture. While it is not necessary to take the seminar in order to follow the lecture, in case you plan to take that seminar it is highly recommended to follow the lecture as well.
