Internships

All regulations can be found shortly in the internship regulations.

General information

  • Three internship modules must be completed in the bachelor's degree in psychology: the Berufsbezogenes Praktikum, the Orientierungspraktikum and the Berufsqualifizierende Tätigkeit I (BQT I). A distinction is made between version (a) according to Approbationsordnung and version (b) in general for the Orientierungspraktikum and the Berufsqualifizierende Tätigkeit I.
  • Students, who are aiming for a Approbation must complete the Orientierungspraktikum and the Berufsqualifizierende Tätigkeit I in version (a) according to Approbationsordnung (PsychThApprO). All other students can complete the internships according to version (b) in general.
  • The intership(s) should serve to acquire practical experience in fields of activity with a psychological relation as well as knowledge about work processes, structures and the organization of the institution(s). In addition, the aim is to develop perspectives for further studies and later professional activity.
  • The students search for internships that correspond to the requirements and the respective content interest of the students, on their own.
  • For all internship modules, only an activity can be recognized, that is carried out from the date of the university entrance qualification. For Berufsbezogenes Praktikum and Orientierungspraktikum, internships can be recognized that have been completed before the beginning of the studies - provided the necessary requirements are met.
  • The Praxisportal offers an overview of possible internship institutions.
  • The internship(s) may be located abroad.
  • The internships are carried out in blocks (during semester break) or during the course of studies.
  • The internship modules can be combined, taking into account the respective requirements.
  • During the internship the students remained enrolled at Osnabrück University with all the rights and obligations of regular students. They are not interns within the meaning of the Berufsbildungsgesetzes.
  • Students are however still bound to their internship positions, in particular with regards to the accident prevention and the rules on professional secrecy.
