Unit: General (Experimental) Psychology I
Welcome to the homepage of the Unit for General (Experimental) Psychology I at the University of Osnabrück.
Our main interests lie within the fields of memory, perception and attention research.
Thereby, we are following a cognitiv-neuroscientific research strategy, i.e a cross-disciplinary approach integrating Cognitive Psychology and Neurophysiology.
In our lab, we measure the activity of the human brain by means of electroencephalographic recordings (EEG) with up to 128 channels. In particular, we focus on the analysis of oscillatory brain activity and the dynamic interaction between the generators of these oscillations.
Based on our data it is intended to draw a comprehensive picture of the neural dynamics of cognitive function in the human brain.
In a more recent project we try to complement EEG results with eyetracking data.
